Type B - Full IP Due Diligience (License, Provenance, Scanning)
All third-party content is reviewed and certified as license-compatible with the project license, and has had the provenance validated and content scanned for anomalies by the Eclipse IP Team.
GlassFish 6.0.0 will be a Compatible Implementation of Jakarta EE 9.
Main changes will be to incorporate the Jakarta EE 9 full platform components. The main changes will be
- Jakarta EE 9 support
- Move to the jakarta namespace
- JDK 11 support
It is not the intention to provide backwards compatibility with Jakarta EE 8.
The STEM community has begun to plan for a first Milestone release of STEM 5.0 (STEM on Cloud).
This will require a major redesign dividing the application into separate microservices.
Jakarta Security 2.0 will follow the content and expectations of the Jakarta EE 9 Release Plan. No additional detail is required.
Jakarta Batch will follow the content and expectations of the Jakarta EE 9 Release Plan. No additional detail is required.
Debugging Support for Other Languages 2.0 will follow the content and expectations of the Jakarta EE 9 Release Plan. No additional detail is required.
This is the first release of Hawk as an Eclipse project. As such, the license has been changed to EPL2.0 with GPLv3 as secondary license.
The biggest feature in this release is the addition of "time-aware querying", based on the new Greycat temporal graph database backend, which allows for indexing the history of your models and running queries that traverse their history.
