It is my pleasure to nominate Chahul Turkar (GitHub: @Chahult, https://github.com/Chahult) as a committer on Eclipse Safe Open Vehicle Core.

Chahul has demonstrated regular and intensive collaboration with the S-CORE project over several months. His public GitHub profile, https://github.com/Chahult, shows continuous activity, including 267 contributions in the last year and sustained participation in the Eclipse project repositories. It is an ongoing pattern of regular contribution, review, and iteration.

A particularly significant part of Chahul’s work is in the project’s configuration and automation infrastructure. His contributions to https://github.com/eclipse-score/config_management are a clear example of valuable project work that goes beyond small fixes and demonstrates deep ownership of repository health and CI quality. In particular, the public GitHub activity records include the pull requests:

- [coverage: adopt LLVM pipeline from score_tooling 2.2.1 #72](https://github.com/eclipse-score/config_management/pull/72)
- [ci: enable QNX build, rebuild stale target lists #74](https://github.com/eclipse-score/config_management/pull/74)
- [feat(deps): add score_config_management to reference integration #299](https://github.com/eclipse-score/reference_integration/pull/299)

These contributions are important because they improve the reliability and maintainability of the project’s continuous integration and dependency management. In an automotive and safety-relevant project such as S-CORE, robust CI configuration and reproducible build hygiene are critical project capabilities. Chahul has contributed directly to those capabilities, making the project easier to validate, maintain, and evolve.

Beyond CI, automation and embedded software development, Chahul has also contributed to documentation and project quality reporting. He has worked on the project’s automated documentation and software quality KPI reporting, which are important elements of a healthy open-source project. These are not side tasks; they are foundational activities that make the project more transparent, easier for users and contributors to understand, and better aligned with engineering quality practices.

His public contribution record also shows active collaboration with the broader project ecosystem. Chahul has contributed across multiple S-CORE repositories and has engaged in meaningful review and maintenance work, including support across the project’s configuration and integration workflows. This is the kind of sustained, project-focused effort that is consistent with the trust and judgement expected of a committer.

In summary, Chahul Turkar (@Chahult) has earned the confidence of the project through:

- regular and intensive public contribution over several months;
- direct improvements to functionality, project health and automation in https://github.com/eclipse-score/config_management;
- contributions to CI configuration and dependency management;
- work on automated documentation and software quality KPI reporting;
- a clear pattern of contributing to a maintainable, transparent, and high-quality project culture.

For these reasons, I believe Chahul Turkar has demonstrated the technical understanding, project commitment, and judgement required for committer status on Eclipse S-CORE, and I therefore recommend his election as a committer.
