Election for Bjoern Hornburg as Committer on Eclipse Safe Open Vehicle Core

Nominee
Role Type
Criteria

I would like to nominate Bjoern Hornburg (ETAS GmbH) as a Committer for the Eclipse S-CORE project.

Bjoern has been actively contributing to Eclipse S-CORE, with a particular focus on the Time functionality and its requirements. His public contributions include work on ASIL-related requirements for TIME as well as improvements to the associated requirements documentation. These contributions have been integrated into an Eclipse S-CORE release and demonstrate his hands-on involvement in improving the project.

Beyond individual changes, Bjoern brings strong technical expertise in time synchronization and automotive software. His engagement combines implementation-oriented technical discussions with attention to requirements, maintainability, and safety-related aspects of the platform.

Based on his contributions and continued engagement with Eclipse S-CORE, I believe Bjoern would be a valuable addition to the project’s Committer community. Granting Committer status would recognize his contributions and enable him to take greater responsibility for the continued development and review of the relevant S-CORE components.

I therefore recommend Bjoern Hornburg for election as an Eclipse S-CORE Committer.
