Hi Tractus-X Community, it is my pleasure to nominate [USER] as a committer on Eclipse Tractus-X.
I want to propose Philipp Mai as a committer
Philipp has been heavily involved in use case demand and capacity management (DCM). He has contributed significantly to the latest releases of the DCM KIT and prepared and conducted DCM coding sessions at the Tractus-X Community Days. He regularly participates in the DCM and EDC Weekly as well as the Community Office Hour.
While Philipp has had some challenges in the past adhering to the Code of Conduct and maintaining professional conduct in discussions, he has learned from these experiences. Philipp now has a strong understanding of our rules and TRGs, and is committed to upholding them going forward.

Malte Hellmeier | 0 | It is hard for me to decide on this election. Besides some minor errors ([USER] placeholder, duplicate links like PR #985), more than half of the linked PRs are not from the nominated user but from other users. Also, I see no contribution in PRs like #776 (only a requested review that isn't answered). Further, in none of the linked PRs the "DEPENDENCIES"-checkbox is ticked, which makes me wonder if the use of the Dash tool is really clear. Lastly, I see no connection between the linked GitLab IP check ticket and the nominee. I am happy to discuss the points on the mailing list, but for now, I am abstaining from this election. |
Arno Weiß | +1 | i think outreach is a valuable contribution beyond code. I've worked with Philipp in the past and he'll add significant expertise in the DCM domain to the round of committers. |
Nico Koprowski | +1 | Philipp shows a strong understanding of the product and actively participates in discussions for issues and pull requests. Furthermore, his pull requests are well explained. As an added bonus he even actively participates in the more organisational topics of Tractus-X. I believe Philipp is well suited for being a committer, especially for maintaining DCM related repositories. |
Evelyn Gurschler | +1 | If I wouldn't have noticed Philipp's personal development in regards of professional attitude in the last couple of months and it wouldn't have been addressed in this election, I'd have voted with a -1 because non-adhering to the Code of Conduct can and will not be tolerated, especially not from a Committer, independently from the quality of the contributions. I find it a bit unsatisfying that his contributions in the context of TRGs haven't been worked out better, it appears all just squeezed into the "Selection of individual contributions:". @Daniel I recommend to send an update on the mailing list with an improved structure, this might incentivate other Committers to vote. Nonetheless, I think he has developed a good understanding of the guidelines and he brings us ahead as a community with his contributions and active participation. |
Mathias Brunkow Moser | +1 | I appreciate the motivation Phillip is putting into becoming a committer! That’s the spirit! I have nothing personal against him becoming a committer, I specially think that his contribution for the Tractus-X Community days are very valuable! (Because of this not a -1) ;) However I still got the feeling that I would like to see on a long term basis (maybe until our next release) if he is applying the TRGs which are so important for our community and code quality. The TRGs protect the developers from legal incidents, and they should be followed. However if there is something to improve feel welcome to submit an PR and let’s talk about it :) I trust that he will demonstrate this in the next release, so I have the tendency to a +1 |

Tom Meyer | 0 | I'm between Malte and Evelyn and also go for a 0. Generally I really see the drive and I think Philipp will support the project. He tries to clarify and understand things for himself and the contributors he's working with. The following issues driving me to a 0: - Why are dependency checks not set, if they're done (a hygiene factor)? - Election is not straightforward: Why are there selected individual contributions without mentioning what has been the contribution. Those are varying from own PRs to clarifica-tions. Clarifications are not a "major" contribution. Also PR#776 for semantic models is also listed in both sections. - Regarding sig-release#786 "They change all the time, so I am not signing this off" > Don't get it, it's related to TRGs driven by the community / committers. They are com-municated and a Quality Check needs to take place per release based on the latest version. I understand that this is annoying, but that's something committers align on. Thus, ignoring that is contractionary If I wouldn't know him and his drive, I would go for a more precise election. Also sorry for voting late. |
