Siegfried Kiermayer | -1 | Sorry to be a downer but we haven’t had many elections so far and I would like to use this nomination as a short discussion reason: In my opinion open source contributions should be small with good PRs and understandable. The commits you linked were all developed directly on main with basically ‘empty’ git commit messages. I also do understand that for fast and early development, small PRs and good commit messages are not critical. But if that person has no practical experience in writing for/with opensource, they might not gain it over time if we don’t discuss this. I will reject this election right now, on this base. I would like to discuss this to see how we handle this type of cases in the future. |
