Simeon (https://github.com/metasim) is a Committer on both RasterFrames and GeoTrellis, two projects that depend heavily on Proj4J. His contributions there are too numerous to mention.
I'd like to nominate him for the Committer here to help drive the project forward. There are big issues ahead, like syncing with PROJ changes for time-dependent datums and more short term performance concerns. He has expressed his interested in the project and I would very much welcome his help.
