Jonathan Balkind is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

At the OpenHW Group, he is known as the Lead Architect of OpenPiton, which allows to build multi/many-core processors from the CVA6 core.
He is the co-chair of the OpenHW Group's Interconnect task group, newly formed.
