Jakarta EE - future directions

The idea of the interest group is to work together on future standards for Java build and project management tools. Especially with the Java module system and all the new features in the OpenJDK tools, build tools are not current. On the other hand, Maven has shown how important it is to define standards (like pom & repositories) since that standards are used and supported by (mostly) all modern Java build tools today and even added to old tools like ANT.

The openMobility interest group will drive the evolution and broad adoption of mobility modelling and simulation technologies. It accomplishes its goal by fostering and leveraging collaborations among members. It is the goal of this interest group to deliver a methodology and a framework of tools based on validated models, which are accepted as “standard tools” in industry applications and academia for mobility modelling and simulation. Eclipse Foundation projects related to the openMobility interest group will provide technical implementations.
