For the past three years, Thomas has served as a committer on the Jakarta Mail project. While his direct engagement with the Angus project has been limited, he works with it almost daily as the Activation and Mail provider in Open Liberty. He has a strong interest in ensuring that Angus remains a strategic implementation of Activation and Mail.

AFAICT that is the very same level of actual involvement of the nominee in the Jakarta Mail project. Given that this project has fairly active committer group, I do strongly recommend to follow the rules - let the committers help Thomas to find few things to contribute and rerun the election. If that is not an option, then work with EMO and PMC to bypass the election as a whole. |
