Election for Benjamin Confino as Committer on Jakarta Contexts and Dependency Injection

Role Type
Criteria

Benjamin has been working on CDI for quite some time and has been raised some bugs and contributions towards CDI 2.0 spec and then recently the Jakarta Contexts and Dependency Injection team and has already made an impact on the project.
A few bugs reported by Benjamin or commented by him in the previous version of CDI here to show the history of his participation on CDI.

Bejamin has been active on weld-dev and cdi-dev for some time and recently he has started contributing towards CDI 3.0.

His recent contribution is listed https://github.com/eclipse-ee4j/cdi/commits?author=benjamin-confino

For these reasons and the long-term outlook for their involvement on the team, it is my pleasure to nominate Benjamin as a committer on Jakarta Contexts and Dependency Injection.

Matej Novotny -1 It is my belief that the role of committer should belong to people who actively partake in the specification which I don't feel like Benjamin Confino does - at least not in any recent time frame. While I do not dispute his contributions on Weld side (be it issues or PRs), I don't think that alone qualifies him for a CDI specification committer role.
