Background

This project is created as part of the process of transitioning Oracle Java EE 8 and GlassFish technologies to the Eclipse Foundation as described in The Eclipse Enterprise for Java Project Top Level Project Charter (https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/ee4j/charter).

Scope

Eclipse Project for JAF provides the API, reference implementation and TCK for JavaBeansTM Activation Framework, starting from the specification defined by JSR-925.

Description

The JavaBeans Activation Framework (JAF) is a standard extension to the Java platform that lets you take advantage of standard services to: determine the type of an arbitrary piece of data; encapsulate access to it; discover the operations available on it; and instantiate the appropriate bean to perform the operation(s).
