David Matějček contributed greatly to the Jakarta EE 10 release, especially when it came to figuring out the cause of many TCK failures working with the Jakarta EE Platform TCK team and has already made an impact on the project. Both directly on the Platform TCK and in his role contributing many changes/fixes to GlassFish.
They have addressed the following bugs:
- https://github.com/eclipse-ee4j/jakartaee-tck/pulls?q=is%3Apr+author%3A…+ shows 4 merged pull requests
- https://github.com/eclipse-ee4j/glassfish/pulls?q=is%3Apr+author%3Admat… shows 101 merged pull requests
It is my pleasure to nominate David Matějček as a committer on Jakarta EE Platform TCK.
Bio: committer of GlassFish, JSF and JPA, contributor of many projects (whenever I collide with some bug).
Perhaps the best is my GitHub profile, but in short ... I work with JEE since 2005, around 2011 I started contributing to open source projects, in 2013 I tried to contribute to Oracle GlassFish, then clone it's SVN ... and I ended using Payara (but the fix was merged to both, finally). At those times I was a team leader of huge government project which used J2EE 1.4 with extreme tech debt when I came in 2007, and which used the latest JEE8+ when I left that company in 2017. I worked at Payara in 2020-2021, but we had different views about the project, and after I left me and Arjan started discussing the possibility that we would be able to kick GF some 20 years forward quite fast. And this is happening now :-)
