Eugene, the technical lead on LocationTech GeoTrellis, worked on the original GeoTrellis Layer DataSource in RasterFrames. He has been an. ongoing technical advisor to the project for several years. He is currently exploring how to better implement a buffered tiles capability in both projects, and committer status would provide unified leadership across both projects.

For these reasons and the long-term outlook for their involvement on the team, it is my pleasure to nominate Eugene as a committer on LocationTech RasterFrames.
