This release incorporates new functionality concerned with software sustainability analysis and improvement. The Analysis menu includes an option for energy use analysis, and refactorings to support the reduction in software energy use are provided on the Refactoring menu.
Apart from this major change, there are several improvements to both code abstraction and code generation, permitting a seamless integration of existing code resources into a new MDE project, and program translation from one language to another. Input languages for reverse-engineering are C, COBOL, Java, JavaScript, Python and VB6/VBA. Languages for code generation are Java, C#, C++, Swift, Go, C, Python.
