Since Mathijs Schuts joined TNO early 2024, he is a very active committer of Eclipse CommaSuite, as can be seen on https://gitlab.eclipse.org/users/mathijs/activity . He came with good ideas to improve the generated test application and implemented these ideas nicely. He also improved the generated simulation. Currently, he is leading the initiative to generate files for RESTful interfaces.
When he was employed at Philips, Mathijs Schuts was already heavily involved in the ComMA approach for interface modelling which forms the basis of Eclipse CommaSuite. For instance, he implemented a reverse engineering algorithm for interfaces. He coauthored the first ComMA paper in 2017 (see https://www.cs.ru.nl/J.Hooman/Modelsward2017.html) and is involved in many other scientific publications related to Eclipse CommaSuite, see https://eclipse.dev/comma/site/publications.html.
Given my retirement as technical lead by the end of 2024, I think it is important to have a second technical lead (next to Ivan). Hence, it is my pleasure to nominate Mathijs as a technical lead on Eclipse CommaSuite.
