9.1.0
This a quick release after the main CDT 9.0/Neon release to give quicker access to new features.
The release contains bug fixes and new features such as "Parameter Guessing for code completion" , "Expansion of icons in the editor ruler" and "Build Targets in the Project Explorer".
Early support for CMake projects, as well as the LLDB debugger integration are also included in this release.
The project leadership certifies that the APIs in this release are "Eclipse Quality".
The release is a small increment of our previous 9.0/Neon release. There are no architectural changes.
There was no security issues.
User documentation has seen some recent updates. It continues to be slightly outdated however,
A number of new features of this release aim to improve usability:
Expand Ruler Icons - provides to ability to quickly see all makers overlapping on a single line of the editor margin (based on JDT feature)
New C/C++ Project Wizard - provides a more modern and simpler to use wizard to create C/C++ projects
Build Targets in the Project Explorer - provides quick access to build targets (formerly "make targets") of a project, from the Project Explorer itself
The New Qt Project wizard is removed since the "New C/C++ Project Wizard" covers it.
The old new project wizards are under consideration for removal in Oxygen.
The community continues to be active with new committers taking a greater place.
