6.0.0

Description

With Release 6.0 Eclipse Scout changes its platform from OSGi to plain Java/HTML5. The SWT and Swing desktop UI technologies are no longer supported by Scout.

On the UI side this move greatly simplifies the creation of state of the art web applications with full support of HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript. At the same time modeling the user interface in plain Java is conserved.

Becoming a plain Java framework helps Scout on the backend side with simplified integration of standard Java technologies found in the IT landscape of business customers.

Detailed information for the release review is available in the Scout wiki.
