Abdul is also on board since quite while. Actualy, although there is Siemens in the e-mail, he works for another company which is Siemens Healthineers. This company is listed separatedly on public stock exchange and he enables contributions not only from Siemens AG but also the recently IPO-ed Siemens Healthineers AG.
Similar to Smruti, Abdul has gained expereince since a half year and has contributed quite a number of pull requests: https://github.com/eclipse/sw360/pulls?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=author%3Aakapti He is very familar with the code base and some of the changes he works are actually larger changes so it is justified that he is well familiar with the codebase.
Also similar to smruit, granting committer access would enable Abdul to work on the pull requests directly which turns out to be more straight forward now. In essence, review and test comments could be also done by the proposed committers, eleminating the need of delegation after the period of successful probation.
