The v3.0.0 Sparkplug Specification and associated Technology Compatibility Kit (TCK) include cleanup and formalization of the Specification over the v2.2 release of the Sparkplug Specification. The goals were to clarify amgiguities in the v2.2 version, make normative statements that were clear, and generally not change much in terms of the intent of the v2.2 specification. Included with the v3.0.0 Sparkplug Specification is also the TCK which will be used to validate Sparkplug implementations.
