Aaron Zielstorff has been part of the Eclipse BaSyx development for over three and a half years and is a committer since 2024. During this time, he has contributed many important features, components, and SDKs like the AAS Web UI, the OPC2AAS and test orchestrator components as well as the BaSyx TypeScript SDK.
His most noteworthy contributions are for example:
• The feature to extend the BaSyx AAS Web UI by 3rd party applications/modules [1]
• The AAS Repository client in the BaSyx Typescript SDK [2]
• The OPC2AAS component for the AAS version 3 [3]
In addition, he handles the governance aspects of releases, manages the communication between the different BaSyx contributors, and coordinates the creation of wiki content.
His influence goes beyond the codebase. He also represents BaSyx at conferences, workshops and meetings like for instance the IDTA Interoperability of Implementations work group.
