The most significant piece of work is the removal of the java.desktop JPMS dependency as that will require some reflection code to be written to replace the functionality currently being provided by the java.beans package.
Compatibility
Removal of deprecated API will be a breaking change for any applications using the deprecated code.
No other breaking changes are anticipated.
