Shwetha Niddodi has been part of the Eclipse VOLTTRON project for the past 10 years and is currently leading the project and development effort. She is actively involved in sponsor engagement and users of the VOLTTRON platform. As the Principal Investigator for Eclipse VOLTTRON, her responsibilities include providing technical leadership and project management support, roadmap creation, strategy development and extensive stake-holder engagement for wide-scale adoption of the platform.

Shwetha has contributed to several features of the platform such as refactoring the message bus to improve the performance, adding a new messaging library - RabbitMQ to enable scaled deployments and led the restructuring of the Eclipse VOLTTRON to transition from monolithic design to a more flexible, modular design to facilitate easier development and deployment of the software for VOLTTRON Users/

In addition, she has also developed several open-source cyber-security tools for increasing cyber-resiliency and improving vulnerability assessment of grid-edge devices.
