1.0.0
Buildship 1.0 is targeted towards Gradle users. Later versions will target Gradle build masters.
Gradle users are those developers that consume a Gradle build: they import an existing Gradle project into Eclipse, they execute Gradle tasks, and they run tests through Gradle. Gradle build masters are those responsible for the actual Gradle builds: they create new Gradle build files, they add build logic, and they maintain these Gradle build files.
In Buildship 1.0, the user can either import an existing Gradle project into the Eclipse workspace or he can create a new Gradle project in the Eclipse workspace. Both functionalities are offered through wizards. The tasks of all Gradle projects in the workspace are shown in the Gradle Tasks View. From the Gradle Tasks View, the user can create and launch Gradle Run Configurations to execute Gradle builds with the selected tasks. The progress of executing a Gradle build is visualized in the Gradle Executions View.
