Background

This project is created as part of the process of transitioning Oracle Java EE 8 and GlassFish technologies to the Eclipse Foundation as described in The Eclipse Enterprise for Java Project Top Level Project Charter.

Scope

This project contains the source code, documentation, and tests for the CORBA ORB that is used in the GlassFish application server project, including the RMI-IIOP support that allows use of the CORBA IIOP protocol under the Java RMI API.

Description

Eclipse ORB is a runtime component that can be used for distributed computing using IIOP communication.

Why Here?
