Election for Carlos Guimarães as Committer on Eclipse Zenoh

Project
Role Type
Criteria

Carlos started with making contributions to Zenoh-Pico but his level of commitment and contributions have been so important that he is not acting as the lead of the pico stack.

Below are some examples of his contributions in Zenoh-Pico:
- support for UDP/IP both unicast and multicast
- Support for peer to peer
- Support for ZephyrOS
- Porting to Arduino and ESP32

Carlos has also contributed the WireShark protocol dissector for Zenoh.

For these reasons and the long-term outlook for their involvement on the
team, it is my pleasure to nominate Carlos as a committer on Eclipse zenoh.

Luca Cominardi +1 Carlos has been leading the development of zenoh-pico during the last months by significantly contributing to the project with: - Refactoring of the code for better abstraction and portability - Support for UDP/IP in unicast - Complete multicast stack support - Support for ZephyrOS, Arduino, and ESP32 - Addition to peer-to-peer communication mode that wasn't previously supported In addition to that, Carlos has shown a solid proactive attitude tackling a well balanced mix of new features, consolidation of existing code base, testing scenarios, and bug-fixing. For this reason, I gladly support the candidature of Carlos as committer on Eclipse zenoh.
