The second official release of Eclipse SCADA will focus on enhancing and stabalizing the existing components and improving usability and connectivity.
We added the RELP protocol for transmitting event data, streamlined the modbus components to allow one to re-use these modbus components and create custom modbus solutions.
Support for Java 8 was added and all known issues with Java 8 and the Nashorn JavaScript engine were fixed.
We also fixed a log of bugs, improvded the documentation and code.
There are no known security issues.
An implementation of IEC 60870-5-104 has been added. It can be used as standalone library or using the driver and exporter system of Eclipse SCADA. Eclipse SCADA can act as IEC 60870-5-104 master or slave (controlled or controling)
