To ensure availability, we need two project leads, just like most projects.
Daniel has been very active and supportive setting up Eclipse Thingweb, the repositories, and contributing to node-wot (currently the main component of the project) itself. Thus, he is the best candidate for project co-lead.
However, he should also add a picture to his Eclipse Account ;)
