Description:

This release will focus on improving the user experience, most notably by:

  • providing a better wizard to create new Ecore modeling project

  • providing new contextual actions for launching the code generation from the diagram editor
  • fixing a number of smaller usability issues
API Certification:

The project leadership certifies that the APIs in this release are "Eclipse Quality".

Non-Code Aspects:

EcoreTools is built using Tycho/CBI on the Sirius HIPP when the SCM polling sees a change from the last build. The results are automatically published in P2 repository available for consumption.

Gerrit is used for almost all contributions, with a corresponding validation job on the Sirius HIPP.

Tests have been added to check for the consistency of the diagram editor specification.

End of Life:

Code in the org.eclipse.emf.ecoretools bundle and which depends directly or not on UI code will be moved during the 4.0 development stream, breaking the API compatibility.
