Release Review

Release:

1.1.0

Description:

The release introduces view modeling for the ECP editor.

API Certification:

The project leadership certifies that the APIs in this release are "Eclipse Quality".

Architectural Issues:

The API has been extended to cover use cases emerging in 1.0.

We have refactored internal code to be fully compatible with Eclipse 4, although this will not be API in 1.1, but is planed for 1.2

Security Issues:

None.

Non-Code Aspects:

The website has been enhanced with many tutorial how to use and adapt ECP.

Usability Details:

Internationalization has been further completed, there are no know missing strings left.

The UI has been refined a lot to be more usable, especially in complex projects, including performance.

End of Life:

None.

Standards:

None.

Communities:

The user base as well as the contributor base has grown a lot since 1.0, visible in the newsgroup and the number of BRs and contributions. We welcome Johannes Faltermeier as a new comitter.

The commit activity has increased.
