With Bert van Beek stepping down as project lead of the Eclipse ESCET project soon (see https://www.eclipse.org/lists/escet-dev/msg00745.html), I think we should have a new second project lead. It is good to have at least two project leads, to increase the 'bus factor'.
As Eclipse ESCET project lead, I nominate Martijn Goorden for project lead. Martijn has been a committer on the Eclipse ESCET project for over a year and a half. He is actively involved in various activities, such as recently with testing the new PLC code generator for the TwinCAT target (https://gitlab.eclipse.org/eclipse/escet/escet/-/issues/1020). Besides that, he is the linking pin to research being performed at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), I believe him to have a constructive attitude, and I believe he would be a good fit for the role based on my collaborations with him the past years. Finally, he is the only committer that expressed a willingness to take up this new role and the associated responsibilities (https://gitlab.eclipse.org/eclipse/escet/escet/-/issues/1111#note_29499…).
