LSP4E 0.2.0 aims at providing more LSP features in the Eclipse IDE and improve integration of those features in the Eclipse IDE.

Security Issues:

No security issue known.

Usability Details:

Eclipse LSP4E 0.2.0 didn't contribute major usability change. Most of the UX is done by Eclipse Platform UI that renders LSP4E content in already existing and established UI.

End of Life:

Some incubating APIs from previous Incubation releases 0.1.0 has been removed or replaced. As those were incubating, no documentation was kept.

LSP4E 0.2.0 consumes language servers as specified by the Language Server Protocol v3. It relies on LSP4J 0.2.0 to provide compatibility with this standard.

  • 63 code contributions from 6 different authors
  • The 6 code contributors come from 5 different organizations
  • LSP4E was promoted on the Eclipse newsletter, on Red Hat Developers site and on JaxEnter
  • LSP4E is used by some downstream projects (at least 6 we're aware of) to provide actual language support in the Eclipse IDE
