Election for David Woodard as Project Lead on Eclipse Kura

David Woodard has been involved in the Kura project since its inception. He has been a key contributor to the initial Kura code base, developing several of its components including, but not limited to, the Kura Web UI. Since joining the Eclipse IoT IWG, David has been the contact point for the Kura project with several people in Eclipse.

David prepared, submitted and followed up on the 50+ CQs [1] filed during the Eclipse Kura IP review.
He often had emails and phone calls with the Eclipse IP team to further clarify Kura’s usage of those dependencies.

After the initial code submission, David completed the integrations with the Eclipse infrastructure including continuous integration support [2].

Since then, Dave has been incredibly active in evangelizing and supporting Kura early adopters. He is one of the top posters in the kura-dev mailing list providing prompt responses to new inquiries by Kura developers; he designed and deployed the latest Kura web site [3] and the related Kura documentation [4]; he presented sessions on Kura at JavaONE 2014 [5] and Internet of Things Conference [7]; he proposed a Kura tutorial for EclipseCON NA 2015 [8].

Given all his effort and dedication, we are very pleased to nominate David Woodard as Project Lead for Eclipse Kura.
