Deliverables
The themes of the next eTrice release are:
- an overhaul of the C++ code generator and runtime (still as prototype)
- consolidation of the existing code base
- improved documentation and tutorials
- improved usability
- minor new features
The first item is a major re-factoring which allow clients to build on the feature rich language and tools of eTrice independently of the ROOM language.
Interested parties are invited to join the developer mailings list.

The model formats remain unchanged.

Themes
C++ generator and runtime
The C++ generator and runtime need a major overhaul. The runtime should be based on the C runtime. In particular it should use its OS abstraction. The model base classes should align with those of Java.
The generator needs to be reviewed and adjusted to the new runtime.
