Release Date:
Wednesday, June 24, 2015
Deliverables:

The current functionality provides:

  • QVTc  (Core) models, parser and editor.
  • QVTr (Relations) models, parser and editor.
  • QVTi ( Imperative) models, parser, editor, interpreter, Java code generator and debugger

The release deliverables for the Eclipse QVTd 0.12.0 release have the same form as is found in most Eclipse projects, namely:

  • Source code tagged as "Mars" in the project's GIT repository.
  • All-in-One P2 repository (downloadable and update site).

Eclipse QVTd 0.12.0 will primarily target Eclipse 4.5.

Compatibility:

QVTc and QVTr are broadly compliant with the corresponding OMG QVT 1.2 languages (http://www.omg.org/spec/QVT/1.2/)

Eclipse QVTd is developed on and for the Mars release. It is occasionally installed and exercised on the Juno, Kepler and Luna releases.

Internationalization:

Internationalization will be supported when the project graduates.

Target Environments:

In order to remain current, each Eclipse release targets reasonably current versions of the underlying operating environments. The Eclipse QVTd project depends upon on the Platform, which is mostly "pure" Java™. The 4.5 release of the Eclipse Platform Project is written and compiled against version 1.7 of the Java Platform APIs, and targeted to run on version 1.7 of the Java Runtime Environment, Standard Edition. Eclipse QVTd relies on EMF Core which is written and compiled against version 1.5 of the Java Platform APIs. Eclipse QVTd relies on Java 7.

Eclipse Platform SDK 4.5 will be tested and validated on a number of reference platforms.

Eclipse QVTd will be tested and validated against a subset of those listed for the platform.

Given that there is no operating system dependent code in Eclipse QVTd, it is expected that Eclipse QVTd will work anywhere the Eclipse Platform does.

This release is part of Mars.
