Themes:
Performance, Performance, Performance
Improving the speed of Xtext parsers, linkers and code generators as well as the IDE support has highest priority. In 2.8.0 we are going to reach a new level here.
Eclipse-Independent IDE services
The runtime aspects of Xtext have always been independent of any UI technology. The IDE part however was so far Eclipse-specific and Eclipse only. The team wants to extract useful services for content assist, hover, syntax coloring and more to be reusable from other platforms, such as web editors, intellij IDEA, Netbeans etc.
This release is part of Mars.
