2.3.0
As in former releases the main focus was put on the runtime components. The main features have been
- accessibility improvements to make e4 on JavaFX eg in government environments
-
code editor framework
- code navigation improvements
- decoration system to eg show error markers in text sections which lead to a complete rewrite of the StyledTextArea internals
The project leadership certifies that the APIs in this release are "Eclipse Quality".
Most time was spend in improving the StyledTextArea-Control adding feature known from the SWT-Text-Framework like:
- Hover information
- Error decorations
- Improved code navigation
which lead to a complete rewrite of the internals (implementing a custom virtual flow, ...) to improve performance.
