There will be a zipped P2 product build which can be extracted and run on any Java 8 capable system.
Ready to run and architecture neutral installation packages will be made for:
- RedHat Enterprise Linux 6 / CentOS 6 (RPM)
- RedHat Enterprise Linux 7 / CentOS 7 (RPM)
- Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (DEB)
- OpenSUSE 13 (RPM)
There will be a YUM/Zypper and APT repository.
In addition will there be a Docker image and an OpenShift quickstart.
Eclipse Package Drone 0.14.0 will be backwards compatible with 0.13.x.
The Upload API V2 is still supported. Upload API V3 is an addition to the system.
The JAX-RS remote API and the addon manager are considered beta/early access/preview features. Their API or functionality can change in future releases.
At the moment Package Drone is only available in English.
Java 8 on an Linux-like operating system.
Other operating systems like Windows and Mac OS should work as long as Java 8 is used, but have not been tested as the Linux platform.
