Compatibility
This is the first release for the OMR project.
Target Environments
Eclipse OMR is regularly tested across the following platforms (details on exact platforms supported will be provided in the release notes). The primary hardware platforms that are supported are:
- X86
- POWER
- Z
Although not complete, there is ongoing effort toward supporting AArch64 and RISC-V platforms. We hope to add these platforms to the supported list in a subsequent release.
We regularly (on pull requests) test several operating systems across these platforms. The basic list of combinations we test is:
- Linux on X86
- Linux on POWER (LE)
- Linux on Z
- Macos
- Microsoft Windows
- AIX
- z/OS
