OM2M provides a standard-based M2M service platform for developing services independently of the underlying network, with the aim to facilitate the deployment of vertical applications and heterogeneous devices. It offers an extensible architecture running on top of an OSGi runtime, exposes a RESTful API through HTTP and CoAP, and interworks with vendor-specific technologies.
The project leadership certifies that the APIs in this release are "Eclipse Quality".
OM2M follows RCP Eclipse plugin development.
TLS can be configured on the Jetty server to enable security.
User documentation, example and tutorials are available on the OM2M website.

OM2M supports the SmartM2M standard.
