The following project releases are included in Kepler.

3.4.0

This document lays out the feature and API set for the 3.4.0 release of the M2T Acceleo project. The Acceleo component is an open source component under the Eclipse Modeling project. Its primary goal is to provide an implementation of the MOF Model-To-Text OMG standard. The Kepler release of Acceleo introduces some new APIs and is labeled 3.4.0.

The C/C++ Development Tooling (CDT) project provides plug-ins that support development of projects using the C and C++ programming languages and the common environments that support this language. C/C++ is used in embedded and mobile, desktop, and server applications, typically where application performance is a key requirement. The CDT provides a platform to support different build systems and debuggers, known as toolchains. Exemplary implementations of these extensions are provided for common environments with the gnu toolchain being the most prevalent.

EMF Diff/Merge is a diff/merge tool for models. Its main purpose is to help build higher-level tools that need to merge models based on consistency rules. GUI components are also provided. Typical usages include model refactoring, iterative model transformations, bridges between models or modeling tools, collaborative modeling environments, or versioning systems.

This is the Kepler release of EMF Diff/Merge. It is intended to be the "operationally validated reference implementation" before significant enhancements are being developed.

m2e-wtp aims at providing a tight integration between Apache Maven and Maven Integration for Eclipse (a.k.a m2e) on one hand and the Eclipse Web Tools Project (a.k.a WTP) on the other hand.
It provides a set of m2e connectors configuring Java EE projects in WTP, from their maven plugin configuration.
m2e-wtp also brings some advanced Maven features to the IDE, such as dynamic resource filtering or war overlays.

The Modeling Workflow Engine 2 (MWE2) is a rewritten backwards compatible implementation of the Modeling Workflow Engine (MWE). It is a declarative, externally configurable generator engine. Users can describe arbitrary object compositions by means of a simple, concise syntax that allows to declare object instances, attribute values and references.

Eclipse MoDisco (version 0.11.0) provides an extensible model driven reverse engineering framework to elaborate on solutions supporting different scenarios such as software modernization, quality assurance, retro-documentation, architecture improvement, etc. It offers base generic components (Model Browser, Discovery Manager, OMG metamodels, etc.) as well as the dedicated support (metamodels, model discoverers, transformations, etc.) for dealing with several different technologies such as Java, JEE, XML.

This document lays out the feature and API set for the seventh annual release of the Eclipse Object Constraint Language (MDT OCL) Project, version 4.1.0.

The original plan for a major version increment to 4.0 was abandoned in favour of a 3.2 increment, however tight coupling to MDT/UML2, which plans a major increment, mandates the increment to 4.0 for the overall project, features and UML-dependent plugins. The non-UML-dependent plugins have a minor increment to 3.2. Newly UI plugins start at 1.0.

The Orion 3.0 Release coincides with the Eclipse Kepler release train. Orion releases a new Dot version every 4 months to keep pace with the rapid development of the libraries Orion consumes form the community and for those consuming Orion in applications or product.

The Parallel Tools Platform project provides tools and frameworks for developing parallel programs for high performance computing. This includes tools for statically analyzing source code in order to locate programming errors and simplify the use of parallel programming models, remote tools for working on applications located on remote machines, a framework for running and monitoring applications on a broad range of target systems, a parallel debugger, and a framework for integrating dynamic analysis tools (such as performance analysis) with Eclipse.

The PHP IDE project delivers a PHP Integrated Development Environment framework for the Eclipse platform. This project encompasses the development components necessary to develop PHP-based Web Applications and facilitates extensibility. It leverages the existing Web Tools Project in providing developers with PHP capabilities.

The Target Management Project provides data models, frameworks and tools for working with remote computer systems. The main deliverable is the Remote System Explorer (RSE), a feature-rich integrated perspective and toolkit for seamlessly working on remote systems. Besides that, we deliver flexible, re-usable components for Networking and Target Management that run stand-alone or integrated with RSE.

In terms of interfaces to other Eclipse projects, we provide an Eclipse Filesystem (EFS) provider to allow remote resources be mapped into an Eclipse Workspace. The DLTK and CDT projects are other Eclipse projects known to integrate with Target Management. PTP and PDT can use TM services via the underlying DLTK and CDT layers. Several Eclipse Packages include TM (The Eclipse for Web package, for instance, includes the TM Terminal).
